A Wildflower Wedding Bouquet Adventure

I love wildflower bouquet! And while no one is getting married here today, this little floral project was a delightful detour—a spontaneous bouquet gathered from the pond green-space behind my house, bursting with summer beauty. (And just a few hundred mosquitoes!) Early July brings an abundance of white wildflowers, and it turns out this tucked-away spot is a florist’s dream.
This particular bouquet came together beautifully as I strolled along, clippers in hand.
Queen Anne's Lace – lacy and romantic, with full blooms and whimisical buds, white sweetclover – airy and fragrant, asters – soft and delicate, and white Muskmallow – a lovely, understated bloom with soft petals.
Together, they made the perfect “wildflower wedding bouquet”—simple, organic, and full of texture.
Of course, wildflowers like these can be a bit finicky in the heat and tend to wilt quickly in the absence of a vase of water.
If you’re dreaming of a similar style for a wedding or event, a commercially-grown alternative could include veronica, Queen Anne's lace, freesia, and feverfew— durable, and beautiful substitutions that capture the same free-spirited charm.
Whether you're a country girl at heart or a bride drawn to the wild and whimsical, feel free to reach out. I'd love to chat about creating something special for your day.
